People’s choice is a pre-game to more prestigious award shows like the Academy Awards; where celebrities not only compete for awards but for the best outfit of the night. Artists are slowly begin to show what they would wear to this affair this week.

Frankly, I grew out of watching award shows when I realized I can determine what I think is best for myself, yet I still watch the red carpet footage of all shows. For the casual fashion fan, it may seem a bit over the top that they have special shows just dedicated to the red carpet.

This is free press for fashion designers and a peek at what may be going down the runway when the major fashion weeks start. I recommend that all the jetsets watch the red carpet specials this year because nothing says “Elite” more than an outfit that would put even celebrities to shame.

The People’s Choice Awards will aire on January 9, 2013.

Why Teaching Programs In America Aren’t Actually Helping Our Education System

At age 22, I sat in a graduate school classroom and listened as my professor undermined my career. “You,” she said, referring to me, and the majority of my classmates, “are arguably part of the problem. Your program perpetuates this idea that anybody can be a teacher. Doesn’t that hurt the profession? Don’t you feel […]

When You Mix ‘Mean Girls’ With British Politics, Amazingness Happens (Video)

There are a lot of similarities between “Mean Girls” and the world of politics. There’s plenty of backstabbing, double-talk and backdoor dealings in both worlds. It was only a matter of time before someone mashed up quotes from “Mean Girls” with photos of British politicians. Actually, I don’t know if it was really only a […]
