It’s been a while since we’ve done a weekend outfits post here at Elite Daily, but don’t worry we’re back. I look forward to weekend outfits posts every week because I feel like they round up the week, help me look forward to the weekend (obviously) and of course, who doesn’t love picking out outfits.

This weekend I’ll be traveling. Traveling is essentially one of my worst nightmares, due to the fact that I literally cannot pack light. I panic over whether I’ll have enough options or everything with me, and if you’re anything like me, you can relate to this awful feeling.

I’ve found that it helps to pack versatile outfits, or something that can be worn during the day and during the night. This helps by reducing stress over whether your outfit is appropriate for a certain occasion or not. So here are a few versatile outfits ideal for traveling;

I’m really loving sheer blouses right now. I think they’re a great way to show a little skin while still maintaining an air of appropriateness. Pair a sheer blouse with Bordeaux colored pair of skinny jeans and leopard flats for a fun and simple outfit that can work for both day and night.

I’m also loving turtlenecks. I hate that they have such a stuffy reputation. When worn in the right context, a turtleneck can really make an impact. Wear a black fitted turtleneck with a metallic embellished skirt for either everyday wear or for any holiday dinner party you have coming up.

What are you wearing this weekend?

Love Has No Age: How I Met My Future Husband At Age 17

I grew up like most little girls of this generation (with no shortage Barbie dolls or”Rugrats” episodes). I pictured myself wearing a dress that looked like it belonged atop a wedding cake rather than on […]

Man On Instagram Documents His Quest To Shotgun A Beer Every Day For A Year

If you asked most people to make a list of the things they’ve done every single day for the past year, there’s a pretty good chance that it will look something like this: 1. Breathing 2. Peeing. It takes a special kind of dedication to do something for 365 days straight, but Los Angeles resident […]

How ‘Boyhood’ Is Actually More About The Meaning Of Life Than A Coming-Of-Age Tale

Coming-of-age films are typically broken up into two separate categories. The first type presents an idyllic view of childhood, with images of adventures through imagination and flashes of the countryside. In this category, the message is clear: Childhood is awesome and the real world sucks. See “Kings of Summer,” “Moonrise Kingdom” and “The Tree of […]
