Weekend Outfits: December 14th

It’s been a while since we’ve done a weekend outfits post here at Elite Daily, but don’t worry we’re back. I look forward to weekend outfits posts every week because I feel like they round up the week, help me look forward to the weekend (obviously) and of course, who doesn’t love picking out outfits.

This weekend I’ll be traveling. Traveling is essentially one of my worst nightmares, due to the fact that I literally cannot pack light. I panic over whether I’ll have enough options or everything with me, and if you’re anything like me, you can relate to this awful feeling.

I’ve found that it helps to pack versatile outfits, or something that can be worn during the day and during the night. This helps by reducing stress over whether your outfit is appropriate for a certain occasion or not. So here are a few versatile outfits ideal for traveling;

I’m really loving sheer blouses right now. I think they’re a great way to show a little skin while still maintaining an air of appropriateness. Pair a sheer blouse with Bordeaux colored pair of skinny jeans and leopard flats for a fun and simple outfit that can work for both day and night.

I’m also loving turtlenecks. I hate that they have such a stuffy reputation. When worn in the right context, a turtleneck can really make an impact. Wear a black fitted turtleneck with a metallic embellished skirt for either everyday wear or for any holiday dinner party you have coming up.

What are you wearing this weekend?

Target Launching A Bridal Collection

All right, at this point, I’m not so positive that Target executives get one second of sleep. They’re constantly announcing collaborations, and this next one could be their trickiest one yet. Target has just launched an in-house bridal collection. That’s right. Now, brides can get their wedding dress shopping, and wedding registry done in the [...]

Want To Wear What Beyoncé Would Wear? Now You Can

Beyoncé, or Queen B as her loyal fans (myself included) fondly call her, is a complete style icon. Mrs. Carter is the ultimate glamour girl, and her persona completely inspires confidence and self-worth amongst all of her fans. Women everywhere are inspired by Beyoncé — her hair, her clothes, her attitude — and try to [...]

The Best Dressed Ladies At The 2013 Billboard Music Awards

Music award shows typically do not have the most well dressed attendees. I guess it has something to do with the quirkiness and creativity of musicians and musicians’ red-carpet looks (in Billboard’s case, a blue carpet) are always eclectic, to say the least. Throw in the fact that the Billboard Music Awards are not the [...]

Nicole Kidman’s Latest Campaign

Countless brands have undergone serious adjustments this past year. Creative Directors were hired and fired left and right in 2012, so 2013 is bound to be a year full of new and exciting campaigns and design ideas. One such campaign is that of Jimmy Choo, who has just tapped Nicole Kidman to front their Fall [...]

Peter Som x Anthropologie

It’s been a whopping three days since the news of a high/low designer collaboration has been broken, so of course, we’re way behind on hearing of a new one. Although the news of Anthropologie’s Made in Kind initiative is not new, their latest installment certainly is. Anthropologie’s latest, and perhaps biggest, collaboration has just been [...]

Rihanna Shows Chris Brown The Cake He’s Missing Out On (Photo)

Rihanna just gave her ex-boyfriend Chris Brown a little taste of what he’s missing … her perfectly sculpted ass. RiRi posted an extremely close-up shot of her nearly naked butt in shorts that are so tiny, her thong is hanging out of ‘em. Rihanna added a caption saying the pic was from the set of [...]

College Graduates: It’s You Against The World

Think about how many times you have heard the expression “It’s me against the world.” It seems unrealistic and cliché, but when it comes to entering the workforce after college, nothing could be more true in terms of how unbelievably hard it is to keep your head up when it seems like everyone you talk [...]

Knicks Fans Beat Up Gay Couple After Losing First Game In Pacers Series

Playoffs can be a stressful time for fans. And when their team gets clobbered in the first game of a series you can expect some poor attitude. However some Knicks fans took things a little too far on Sunday following a loss to the Indiana Pacers. Upon leaving Madison Square Garden, four goons decided to [...]
