Putin Lashes Out At Hillary Clinton In Sexist Tirade, Calling Her 'Weak'

by Katie Gonzalez

In a bizarre face off, Russian President Vladimir Putin has responded to comments made by former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton with largely sexist remarks that one might expect from the machismo, hockey-playing, tiger-tackling leader.

Clinton had previously compared Putin's aggressive actions in Ukraine to Nazi dictator Adolf Hitler's expansionist policy leading up to World War II.

So, in a Tuesday interview with France's Radio Europe1 and TV TF1, Putin lashed out at Clinton, calling her "weak" and blaming her gender for her statements.

It’s better not to argue with women. But Ms. Clinton has never been too graceful in her statements. Still, we always met afterwards and had cordial conversations at various international events. I think even in this case we could reach an agreement. When people push boundaries too far, it’s not because they are strong but because they are weak. But maybe weakness is not the worst quality for a woman.

Although this was likely just Putin attempting to save face after being called out by Clinton (who very well may have been acting as a mouthpiece for the Obama administration), his response loses all rational argument because he challenges her using sexist terminology.

Putin's brash backlash also doesn't bode well for the Russian leader if Hillary Clinton announces her candidacy to run for president in 2016. We're guessing that this woman won't be looking too "weak" then.
