Amazon Opens Shop-In-Shop With Prestigious Designer

Amazon is a favorite online destination for just about everything under the sun, but one would not normally think of Amazon as a destination website for designer clothing.

Well, Amazon is looking to change that, by launching a new e-commerce venture.  Amazon has debuted an online store dedicated to Derek Lam’s 10 Crosby Line.

This shop-in-shop is the first of its kind for Amazon. Amazon plans on using this venture as an outline for future partnerships with other designer brands.

It’s interesting to see where this will go. Amazon customers are usually accustomed to going to Amazon for just about anything other than a $225 blouse. Will this business plan work?
