Net-A-Porter To Launch Print Magazine

Net-a-Porter is the leader in the online luxury shopping experience. Their ability to not only sell high end couture, but style it and describe it as an art form has drawn fashion lovers to the website for years.

With great pleasure, I’m sure; Net-a-Porter’s CEO Mark Sebba has just announced plans to launch a print magazine. He was quoted in saying:

“Traditional publishers always say that we are lucky for being born in a digital age and don’t have a legacy of print. But we still see it as important. It isn’t a secret that Net-a-Porter will be publishing a major fashion magazine within the next 12 months or so.”

Victoria’s Secret Goes Back On Mastectomy Bra Promise

Earlier this year, Victoria’s Secret made a very public pledge to create a mastectomy bra, but it seems as if they’re now going back on that promise. In January, 27-year-old Allana Maiden, inspired by her mother Debbie Barrett, began a Change.org petition for Victoria’s Secret to carry a line of mastectomy bras. Barrett was having difficulty finding [...]

It seems as if previous predictions may be proving to be true. Louis Vuitton is consistently losing ground as the world’s most valuable luxury brand due to competitors, such as Gucci and Prada, gaining leads. According to The Business of Fashion, Vuitton’s brand value has declined 12 percent from a year ago to $22.7 billion. [...]

Kindle Worlds Makes Fan Fiction Profitable

At 21 years old, I am completely unashamed to admit that I am 100% (still) addicted to “Gossip Girl.” I had first read the entire series sometime during my middle school years and well before the show’s first pilot was even shot. My obsession was only furthered by the on-screen adaptation of the series and [...]

Rihanna Is Suing Topshop

You would think that a major multi-million dollar corporation would know the rules by now. You can’t be selling t-shirts with an image of someone else emblazoned on the front without her permission: a lesson Topshop has to, apparently, learn the hard way. According the New York Post, Rihanna has just filed a $5 million [...]

Selfridges To Host First Drive-Through Department Store Service

If you were to ask any person from any country in the world which country was the laziest, I think they would all respond “America,” much to my own disappointment. America is the country that perfected the drive-through and countless other effortless services as a means of making our very difficult lives less difficult. Americans [...]

Why Offensive Linemen Mean Everything To NFL Teams

Everyone knows that the building blocks to any successful NFL team are linemen, and more importantly, offensive linemen, seeing that they make everything on the offensive side of the ball happen and without them the ball wouldn’t even get snapped. In the history of the NFL, five offensive linemen have been selected first overall in the [...]

The UN Debates Whether Killer Robots Have A Place In This World

The United Nations is voicing its opinion on robotic instruments that can attack targets without human input, denouncing them and saying they “should not have the power of life and death over human beings.” The report for the U.N. Human Rights Commission this week calls for countries such as the United States, Great Britain, Israel, [...]

Brownsville Residents Aren’t Receiving Their Mail Because Mailmen Are Scared To Death

Residents in Brownsville, Brooklyn are not always receiving their mail, and while the USPS is supposed to deliver through rain, sleet and snow, gangbangers and thugs are deterring them from delivering. “The neighborhood is bad,” a US Postal Service Worker told The Post outside the Brownsville Station Post Office on Bristol Street. “I wouldn’t want [...]

Kevin Durant Donates $1 Million To Oklahoma Tornado Victims

The recent tornadoes in Oklahoma are heartbreaking to say the least. The path of destruction left behind is truly irreparable as 91 have been confirmed dead with over 200 more left injured. Making The First Move

We live in a world that tells women we can do whatever we want, and the “Glass Ceiling” no longer exists. Rosie the Riveter said, “We Can Do It,” and the suffragettes fought for our right to vote. So when it comes to dating, or at least making the initial move, all the single ladies [...]
