I don’t care who you are, how much money you have or how little money you have; everyone freakin’ loves Target. Target is that one retail store guaranteed to burn a hole in your pocket.
Don’t ever make the mistake of going to Target just to pick up “one thing”, your “one thing” is guaranteed to turn into sixteen things, and a $500 credit card charge. Which is why this news is guaranteed to be music to anyone’s ears: Target will now implement a new price-match program.
The new policy guarantees to match the lowest price on equivalent items at Amazon and Walmart.com, Target’s biggest competitors. The price-match policy even works post-purchase. The official policy states:
“If you buy a qualifying item at a Target store then find the identical item for less in the following week's Target weekly ad or within seven days at Target.com, Amazon.com, Walmart.com, BestBuy.com, ToysRUs.com, BabiesRUs.com or in a competitor's local printed ad, we'll match the price. Price match may be requested at Guest Services prior to your purchase with proof of current lower price or by bringing in your original Target store receipt and proof of the current lower price.”
Two words: Game changer. Now excuse me while I try this tactic out…
