The Met Gala might be the most glamorous night of the year, but gathering every A-lister together for one night of fashionable celebration has one unfortunate (yet still glam) side effect: a lot of celeb exes in the same building. TBH, the drama only makes it more exciting, so let’s round up the celeb exes at the 2022 Met Gala — awkward run-ins unfortunately not guaranteed.

Phoebe Dynevor And Pete Davidson

Phoebe Dynevor and Pete Davidson dated from April 2021 to August 2021, so yes, their romance was pretty short-lived. Still! Going to the Met Gala only to see Davidson with his new girlfriend, ahem, Kim Kardashian, feels unfairly awkward.

Dynevor actually arrived at the Met Gala way before Kete, so there were no awkward run-ins on the red carpet. TBH, I can’t imagine Dynevor was that concerned. She channelled major Diamond of the First Water energy all night.

Davidson and Kardashian were two of the last people to make their way up the steps of the Met, but the wait was definitely worth it. Even if Davidson is looking a bit like Kardashian’s bodyguard in the pics.

The BDE comedian had a second ex in attendance, too. (What else would you expect?) He and Kaia Gerber dated for four months in late 2019 and early 2020.

Gerber was navigating two exes, too. She and Jacob Elordi reportedly broke up in November 2021 after nearly a year together (and this super cute red carpet appearance). And yep, they were both at the Met.

Elordi embraced his single status and hit the red carpet alone. It wasn’t necessarily a bad decision — in this tux, he looks like the next James Bond to me.

The couple could not stop making eyes at each other at the Met. (No word yet if Elordi had any uncomfortable interactions with the newly-official couple, though!)

Speaking of Butler, his longtime ex Vanessa Hudgens was also in attendance. The High School Musical star was one of the events co-hosts, but I think she lucked out of having to interview her ex.

In a completely sheer Moschino gown, Hudgens was dressed to impress. Also, I have to say this is the ultimate oops-I-ran-into-my-ex outfit.

After over two years together, Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello broke up in November 2021. Since then, the duo has made it clear that they miss one another, both releasing music about the aftermath of their split.
