History repeats itself.
Crawley and Moss’ first breakup made it pretty clear there was a disconnect between the two of them. When Moss announced that they had “decided to go [their] separate ways” on IG on Jan. 19, 2021, Crawley clarified that it was his decision, not hers. She responded, “I am crushed.”
A surprise breakup over Instagram sounds almost impossible to get over, IMO.
When Crawley and Moss got back together in the spring of 2021, it was hard to believe they were able to move fully past that. Still, by June 2021, Crawley made their reunion IG official with a seemingly joyful Instagram post.
But the comments were critical. “He broke your heart once. Don’t let him do it again. You deserve better,” one wrote.
When Moss and Crawley first reunited, they slowed down their pace (slightly). Still, by July, they were engaged once again. “They’re engaged but still are working on building a solid relationship... They aren’t rushing to tie the knot,” a source told Us at the time.
Despite the Us insider claiming that they were taking things slow, rumors of a secret wedding came up in Aug. 2021. A source told Deuxmoi, “Clare and Dale are married. They did it in ‘secret’...”
Considering how things went last time they went (or almost went) down that particular road, this rumor was a clue that something could be up.
The duo’s last Instagram together was from their double date with Katie Thurston and Blake Moynes at the U.S. Open on Sept. 9. And, according to body language expert and author of SNAP, Patti Wood, there was some serious tension there.
She explains, “There's a lot of tension. She’s not in alignment or matching him. And if you look at where that hand placement is, that's at her heart. So, she's holding her heart together there.”
According to the devoted Redditors in The Bachelor thread, Crawley also recently posted an IG Story about the importance of trust in relationships that seemed to indicate a problem between her and Moss. And it definitely made fans curious about their status as a couple.
On Sept. 19, Moss attended a wedding solo though Crawley was originally supposed to be his plus one for the event, per Us Weekly.
During the night, Moss “didn’t mention why she didn’t go,” preferring instead to celebrate the nuptials without getting into details of his personal life.
Moss turned 33 on Sept. 24, but the day came and went without any public acknowledgment from Crawley. Considering the duo took a romantic getaway for Crawley’s birthday in March, this stark contrast raised some eyebrows.
Not to mention, she didn’t even like his IG post celebrating the special day.
On Sept. 27, a source told Page Six, “Dale and Clare have split again. This time it’s for good. It didn’t end well.” Crawley and Moss have yet to comment on the news themselves — neither denying nor confirming the split rumors.
In this case, it seems like their silence is speaking for them.
