A lot of guys are great at talking to women when they’re out at a bar or club. However, these same men aren’t so sure how to talk to a woman in a coffee shop, at a bus stop or walking down the street.
Here’s the quick and dirty on how you can talk to a woman whenever one might strike your fancy...and charm her while you’re at it.
At Her Place Of Business
It’s always a little weird trying to talk to a woman who's on the job -- weird, but not impossible. The important thing here is to be quick. No one likes feeling distracted from their job. Say something playful and funny that leaves a strong impression. If you’re never going to be there again, strike while the iron is hot and get her number for a coffee date.
On The Street
The golden rule of approaching on the street is to never approach from behind. Get a bit ahead of her, within her peripheral vision, and start a conversation. A great opener here? “I’m going to kick myself all day if I don’t talk to you.”
Yoga Class
A lot of guys join yoga classes to meet women. They don’t usually follow up, however, because they find the whole atmosphere intimidating and not conducive to meeting women. Right when you enter, introduce yourself, then go set up. When you’re packing up to leave, make chit chat about the class.
On Public Transportation
How many times have you seen a woman that you wanted to speak to on public transportation? Now how many times did you actually talk to her and how many times did you just spend the rest of the day wishing that you had?
Directness is the best policy on public transit, so just go up to her, tell her that you saw her, wanted to talk and give her your name.
Live Music
This is one of the places that men go a lot, but rarely find it in themselves to approach. However, it’s also one of the easiest places for you to approach. You just go up, ask what time a certain band goes on, then introduce yourself. Continue the conversation by asking her about what band she’s really there to see.
Grocery Stores
Grocery stores are filled with single women. They’re also filled with women who don’t want to be there, so you have to do it the right way or you’re not going to get anywhere. How to talk to a woman at a grocery store?
While shopping, you can ask her advice about what to buy. In line is a better place to approach because the tabloids offer a great opportunity for banter. Open with something like, “Looks like Batboy is at it again.”
Bookstores
Bookstores are the new coffee shops, which have always been bars for the thinking man. A bookstore provides you with a ready-made reason to start talking to a woman: shared interest in whatever book or section of the bookstore that she happens to be in.
It’s just that easy. Making a lighthearted joke is a great way to start a conversation, or you might just start chatting her up based on mutual interest.
As you can see, it’s easy to talk to women anywhere. All you have to do is decide whether it’s best to be direct or indirect, then make your approach and start talking.
