Why Opposites Don't Always Attract When It Comes To Zodiac Signs
Hey Rosebud, I'm a Pisces, but I'm in a relationship with my astrological opposite, Virgo. He's an amazing guy, I've never felt so cared for and he helps me take care of myself in ways that no other relationship has. He always leaves me reminders for things that he knows I'll forget, and just shows me how much he loves me in all these little ways but never makes a big deal out of our relationship. The only problem is, our relationship lacks that sexual tension that I usually like to have in a relationship. I love spending time with him, but our relationship hasn't been full of the crazy ups and downs and sexual tension that I'm used to. I don't know if that's a good thing or a bad thing. I guess I'm just wondering if you can shed some light on the situation. Thanks, Samantha S.
Hey Samantha,
I'll start off by saying that this isn't a good or a bad thing until you qualify it as either.
The beautiful thing about life is, everything that happens in it is neutral until we qualify it as good or bad, meaningful or meaningless, and that gives us a great deal of creative control over ourselves and our outlook.
Astrologically speaking, you are in a relationship with your opposite sign, which implies you have much to learn from him.
This is what's called a seven-seven pattern relationship in astrology.
Other seven-seven relationships in astrology include:
Aries and Libra Taurus and Scorpio Gemini and Sagittarius Cancer and Capricorn Leo and Aquarius Virgo and Pisces
These relationships will shine a light on qualities inside yourself that you didn't know you had, and most likely, you'll feel that you grow more with them than you have in any other relationship.
According to Linda Goodman's book, "Sun Signs,"
Not always, but frequently, you will be either physically attracted to – or secretly admire and respect – those of the opposite sex born under the Sun Sign listed here opposite your own because these individuals possess the qualities of character and personality traits you yourself lack. The attraction and the urge to imitate will be strong.
So no, you may not feel an insanely hot attraction to your Virgo partner.
He will, however, show you how to be more practical and inspire you to keep your feet planted on the ground through leading by example.
On the other hand, you can show him how to let go of the practical realities of day-to-day living, to cut loose and to daydream every once in awhile.
Hell, he might even learn that daydreaming can be productive, too.
Good luck,
Rosebud
