5 'Lip Sync Battle' Matchups That Would Literally Break The Internet

by Angela Ruhinda

"Lip Sync Battle" is the TV show we never knew we wanted, and now we need to see it every week.

What started out as a segment on "The Tonight Show" has quickly become must-see TV.

There is something about watching our favorite celebrities let loose and reinvent themselves for a bedazzled belt and a title that makes us all completely giddy. And, who knew all these stars were so damn competitive?

We’ve seen the poised, Oscar winning Common breakdance to Lionel Richie's "All Night Long," Anne Hathaway jump on a wrecking ball and flip off Emily Blunt and Emily Blunt give Hathaway a dap-worthy lap dance to Blackstreet’s classic, "No Diggity."

So, what’s next?

If you’re serious about this show, you’ve definitely given thought to which celebrities should battle it out next, and you have your reasons.

I’ve taken the liberty of picking out my dream matchups for the show because I believe in speaking things to existence:

Emma Stone Vs. Joseph Gordon-Levitt

This is a no-brainer. All you have to do is search YouTube to find amazing lip-sync performances on "The Tonight Show."

Joseph Gordon-Levitt channeled his inner rock star for Elton John’s "Tiny Dancer" and rapped his cute butt off to Nicki Minaj’s "Super Bass."

His performance was so endearing that the video currently has more than 44 million views.

While Gordon-Levitt’s energy is infectious, Emma Stone brought her A-game to the very same stage when she performed "Hook" by Blues Traveler.

But, the lovable actress really won our hearts when she chose "All I Do Is Win" by DJ Khaled as her final song.

Seeing Stone rap along to Ludacris’ incredibly fast-paced verse is something that never grows old.

That’s why her battle has more than 51 million views on YouTube.

I feel like I know who would win this battle, but it needs to happen regardless. The people demand it.

Justin Timberlake Vs. Jimmy Fallon

They’re deep in their bromance, and they love being silly together. If two funny bros can’t battle it out on the mic, how will they know they were meant to be bros, bro?

Yes, Timberlake is a trained performer who has amazing taste in music, but Jimmy Fallon is just as cool and unpredictable.

This could go either way. We’ve seen them rap together, so why not against each other, too?

Tracee Ellis Ross Vs. Gabrielle Union

These are two women who are ridiculously funny, but the world doesn’t seem to realize it yet.

Chris Rock told Gabrielle Union she’s as funny as Tina Fey (in my world, that is the highest of compliments), and I would have to agree.

All you have to do is watch Union’s late night interviews to see she has a lot of personality.

And, if you’ve seen her courtside at Miami Heat games, she’s also got balls. No one intimidates her.

On the other hand, Tracee Ellis Ross is a funny girl in her own right. The matriarch in ABC’s "Black-ish" might have a lot of primetime fans, but her Instagram and Facebook pages keep us laughing, too.

You see, Ross has an alter ego named T-Murda, who's a badass MC and likes to decipher contemporary rap songs. If T-Murda shows up to "Lip Sync Battle," you know it’s going down.

Kevin Hart Vs. Anthony Anderson

Kevin Hart is one of the biggest comedians and actors in Hollywood right now, and he got there by hard work, perseverance and the ability to make fun of himself at the drop of a dime.

Just like Tracee Ellis Ross, Hart has his own alter ego named Chocolate Droppa, who is a threat to, well, no one really.

But, pay no attention to that because we’ve already seen Kevin Hart battle it out with Jimmy Fallon and Will Ferrell, and he surprisingly showed us his softer side with a John Legend ballad.

Hart’s a sensitive guy, which is exactly what his pal Anthony Anderson would take advantage of.

The "Black-ish" star and Hart go way back, and they even took jabs at each other during this year’s Celebrity All-Star game in NYC. This competition would be so fun to watch.

Tina Fey Vs. Amy Poehler

Arguably the funniest duo in Hollywood, this wouldn’t be a battle — it would be war.

Would Tina Fey bring out Liz Lemon and show off her killer dance moves? Would Amy Poehler show Fey who she’s messing with? So many questions need to be answered.

To the creators and producers of "Lip Sync Battle" (yes I’m talking to you Jimmy Fallon, John Krasinski and Stephen Merchant), please take this list seriously.

And, if you need any more matchup ideas, you know where to find me. I’ll be on YouTube checking out all your clips and reenacting John Legend’s "Slow Motion" body roll.
