Leave it to Amy Schumer to shut down whiny babies. The comedian posted a selfie to her Twitter feed on Wednesday with the comment, "How about everyone takes a deep breath."

Paired with a metallic smokey eye, her five o'clock shadow is the real star of the show.

She posted the same beard pic to her Instagram with the caption,

That's not a beard this is a beard. So sorry to anyone with a beard this may offend. I am a comic and should never make fun of myself at the expense of anyone else that I wasn't making fun of in the first place. #relax #beard

So, while I'm all for telling the overly-offended to take a big fat chill pill, where is all this coming from, exactly?

Refinery29 has a theory, which speculates Amy kind of, sort of dissed Taylor Swift in a previous Instagram post about thigh gaps, causing Swift fans to lose their sh*t.

Only, Amy didn't body-shame or semi-diss T Swift; in fact, she made the joke at her own expense. It's all pretty stupid, I know.

But one thing is for certain: Amy Schumer looks sexy as f*ck in a beard. And, not gonna lie, I'm kind of digging the honey-blonde, escaped-mental-patient hairstyle too. It really accentuates her cheekbones.
