See You Later, Boy: Avril Lavigne And Chad Kroeger Are Splitting Up

Another Hollywood marriage is over.

Avril Lavigne announced via Instagram today she and husband Chad Kroeger (of Nickelback) are separating after two years of marriage.

The 30-year-old Canadian rocker wrote,

It is with a heavy heart that Chad and I announce our separation today. Through not only the marriage, but the music as well, we've created many unforgettable moments. We are still, and forever will be, the best of friends, and will always care deeply for each other. To all our family, friends, and fans, thank you for your support.

The pair first started dating in 2012 and got hitched a year later on July 1, 2013.

However, rumors have been swirling about their relationship's demise ever since last year after Lavigne was photographed celebrating her 30th birthday without Kroeger by her side.

At the time, many suggested the two were already living “separate lives."

Perhaps in an attempt to heal their crumbling marriage, the duo bought a $5.4 million mansion in Los Angeles just two months ago. Oops.

This is Lavigne's second divorce; she split with Sum 41 frontman Deryck Whibley in 2010.

A divorce is always a bummer, but judging by all the reported turbulence in their marriage, I'd like to think their split is for the best.
