Fan Theory About Peter On 'The Bachelorette' Will Make You Sad Then Super Mad

Sorry, Peter fans, but I may have some potentially bad news for you: Your beloved Peter might be on The Bachelorette for the wrong reasons. *audience gasps* Yep, I hate to say it, but there's this theory about Peter being The Bachelor that seems to show Peter never had any interest in marrying Rachel Lindsay at all.

I know, I know. It's terrible to think that someone would go on a reality TV for the attention and fame of it all, and not because they actually wanted to fall in love on camera. But there's evidence that suggests the only reason Peter went on The Bachelorette is that he's got his eye on being the next lucky guy chosen to be The Bachelor. And honestly, it's not a bad strategy.

It turns, it's always been a secret dream of Peter Kraus to become The Bachelor, as evidenced by his high school senior yearbook. Basically, someone found an old copy of Peter's yearbook from Edgewood High in Madison, WI, in which all the seniors were asked to describe their "future plans."

Here's what an 18-year-old Peter said in response to that prompt:

Go to art school, become famous in one way or another, be on The Bachelor, live happily.

Excuse me? What was that second to last one? Has Peter been plotting his path to The Bachelor for the past decade? It certainly looks like it!

It would make sense that Peter is vying for the coveted Bachelor gig, especially considering his wishy-washy attitude on this season of The Bachelorette. Peter has consistently said again and again that he isn't sure if he's ready for marriage. His own mother insisted in the hometown dates episodes that he might not be ready for marriage. (This seems like a weird thing to say on camera if you want your son to win a marriage reality show.)

Somehow Peter's ended up in the final three, alongside Bryan and Eric. He was the last one of the three to say "I love you," to Rachel, though he did finally manage to get the words out last week. All this hemming and hawing about commitment doesn't really scream "Bachelorette winner," but it would be an excellent backstory for a potential Bachelor. Hmmm.

Does Peter have a Bachelor deal with the ABC producers already? We'll just have to wait and see, but I for one wouldn't be at all surprised if we're seeing Peter again for The Bachelor in January.
