Say it ain’t so: the members of BTS are taking a break. After rocking the stage at LA’s SoFi stadium in November and December, they're about to slow down. On Dec. 5, BIGHIT, their management company, revealed the guys will take their first “extended period of rest” since 2019.

BIGHIT’s official tweet said the break will allow the bandmates to get “resinspired and recharge.”

The news came as a bit of a surprise, especially since the BTS guys just had a month-long media run in America.

Fans are understandably having a tough time wrapping their heads around the news.

While it was an admittedly sad day for many ARMY, fans tried to be understanding.

Fans pointed out the extended break means they will miss out on upcoming award shows and music festivals.

It was an emotional day, to say the least.

A lot of questions remain unanswered.

At the end of the day, ARMY have BTS’ back all the way and will be waiting for them when they’re ready to return to the spotlight.
