Amber Rose Won't Let Any Double Standard Get In The Way Of Her Sex Life
A double standard definitely exists when it comes to girls' sex lives. On one hand, guys are praised for getting with as many girls as they can or want to, while if a girl's "number" is too high, she gets that pesky "slut" label.
And that label, even in 2016, still holds some negative connotations, even if women own it. But some women, like Amber Rose, DGAF about those double standards.
She discussed this glaring issue on "The Amber Rose Show" with guest Ty Dolla Sign on Friday.
She said,
I'm 32 years old, I've been around the block a few times. I'm not going to sit there and count. Especially all the times I said he could put the head in, then take it out, does that count? Because I used to be so good for that, I was the queen of that.
I'm glad she owns it, and of course, her audience ate it up. Amber's proved to be a huge supporter of sexual freedom for ladies since she also gave the thumbs up to Taylor Swift when she started seeing Tom Hiddleston a few months ago.
I've also lost count, and I'm sure a lot of girls have.
After a certain point in life, counting the amount of dudes or girls you've slept with is completely irrelevant. The number of people you've had sex with literally changes nothing about how good of a person you are.
The talk-show host also went into other concerns relating to the double standards women face.
She laid the truth down when she said,
Like, if you suck dick too good the first time, guys will be like, 'Mmm I can't make a wife of her because she sucks dick too good.
The struggle is real, even though I personally can't say I've ever held back because I was worried a guy wouldn't want to "make a wife" out of me.
Seriously, thank you, Amber Rose, for laying it out there. This double standard is something women just don't have time to worry about. Instead, we all should look at the people judging us for those actions in the first place and ask them why these things carry any weight at all.
