Chris Pratt Made First Appearance Since Anna Faris Split At The Teen Choice Awards

Fans have had their eyes peeled, keeping a lookout for Chris Pratt at the Teen Choice Awards. That's because Sunday night is slated as Pratt's first public appearance since his split from Anna Faris. In an emotional Facebook post on Aug. 7, Pratt announced the pair would be separating after eight years of marriage. They have one son together, Jack.

In his post, Pratt wrote,

Anna and I are sad to announce we are legally separating. We tried hard for a long time, and we're really disappointed. Our son has two parents who love him very much and for his sake we want to keep this situation as private as possible moving forward. We still have love for each other, will always cherish our time together and continue to have the deepest respect for one another.

Elite Daily reached out to Chris Pratt and Anna Faris' teams for comment, but did not hear back by the time of publication.

At the Teen Choice Awards, Pratt is nominated for Choice Sci-Fi Movie Actor for his work in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2. 

We finally spotted him when he won the award and stepped on stage to accept the surfboard.

While he looked great (because, duh), it's strange to know he's flying solo after being notorious for goofing off with his wife for the paparazzi. He also noticeably left her out of his thank you speech, and though he did take a minute to thank God and his movie team, we can't help but notice he seemed a bit... distracted?

Perhaps fans should have suspected trouble in paradise. In an interview with People back in July, Faris admitted that there was a lot of weirdness that comes with being a famous couple. She said,

I don't think that's something, when you're an actor, that you're prepared for… …There are two different roles that you play — the one on-camera and the one in public. That's the tricky part.

Oof.
