Chris Pratt Reveals New 'Guardians Of The Galaxy' Trailer With More Baby Groot
GUYS, IT'S HERE. IT'S FINALLY HERE.
Chris Pratt revealed the entire trailer for the new "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2" on "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" Tuesday night, and it's the most epic three minutes I've ever seen.
Before I get into details about the highly-anticipated trailer, can we talk about Baby Groot?!
He's back and better than ever.
Welcome back to the big screen, Baby Groot! We've missed you, little guy!
The trailer for the upcoming film was revealed during the late night show, where Chris Pratt acted like an audience member and described the movie to Kimmel, who acted oblivious about the film.
Pratt said,
I play a character called Peter Quill. He's also known as Star-Lord. There's a hot green alien. We save the universe. There's a raccoon who has a machine gun, talks a lot of smack. There's a sentient tree who only knows how to say his own name.
Yep, sounds about right. We can't wait! (Especially for Groot.)
Before airing the trailer, Pratt said he thinks "people are going to like it," and after watching the clip, we KNOW we're going to like it (I don't even like sci-fi and I'm stoked about the film -- that's saying a lot).
The mind-blowing teaser doesn't waste a second getting into action, and starts with Pratt and his co-stars fighting off aliens in space during epic mid-air battles.
On top of the adrenaline rush you'll get from the action, you'll also giggle because the characters are funny AF.
It's seemingly the perfect balance of sci-fi, action and comedy -- and it's sure to break box office records.
Can we also talk about how the trailer picked a kickass song to back up the alien battles?!
I got the chills when Baby Groot connected the plug and "The Chain" by Fleetwood Mac started playing, but that's just me.
I don't know about you, but I'll be waiting for Baby Groot to win his first Oscar next year.
