Dax Shepard Reveals Wife Kristen Bell Has A 'Real Fetish For Indian Men'

Speaking of distasteful things that white people say, Dax Shepard said Kristen Bell has a "fetish for Indian men."

Quick note to both Dax Shepard and Kristen Bell: People generally don't appreciate it when you fetishize their entire race.

"Fetish" is not usually taken as a compliment, no matter how well-intentioned you are about it.

Here's what happened.

On Thursday Dax and Kristen stopped by "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" and reflected on their evening at the Golden Globes.

First, they discussed Kristen's boobs and the use of double-sided tape. So far so fine.

Next Ellen asked who at the Golden Globes Kristen has a crush on. Also fine.

Kristen answered: "Riz Ahmed." Again, still fine.

Then things got...not fine.

Instead of just leaving it at having a crush on Riz Ahmed for being, you know, cute, charismatic and all that other nice stuff, Kristen said,

I find Indian men irresistible!

That's a tad cringe worthy, but got way worse when Dax added,

She does! She has a real fetish for Indian men.

If you're still not seeing why this is a "yikes," moment, here is the definition of "fetish" from Merriam-Webster,

An object or bodily part whose real or fantasied presence is psychologically necessary for sexual gratification and that is an object of fixation to the extent that it may interfere with complete sexual expression.

SO YOU SEE THE PROBLEM NOW, RIGHT?

"Fixation"? "Object"? You understand why this shouldn't be applied to a race, right? And why this is not a compliment?

BTW, if you aren't familiar with Riz, he's a pretty great actor who was recently in "Rogue One," "The Night Of" and "The OA."

But apparently the first thing Kristen said to Riz was, "I find you very attractive."

And then Dax suggested the threesome.

At least Kristen admitted,

We put him in a very awkward position.

Riz has yet to comment on this, but if I were him, I'd be feeling pretty weird right now.

Dax, I wouldn't get your hopes up about that three-way.
