5 Female Celebrities Who Made Smart Investments With Their Money
Everybody these days needs a side hustle, celebrities included. Besides having talent and beauty, these five female celebrities have some serious business smarts.
1. Olivia Munn
Olivia Munn's recent investment in Chef's Cut Jerky seems to already be a smart move. The growing $2.8 billion meat snack industry seems like it will be a big win for Munn's investment. Munn also had an early investment in Uber. Why didn't I think of that?!
2. Jessica Alba
Startups are in, ya'll. Jessica Alba famously cofounded The Honest Company and has not looked back. In 2015, Alba made Forbes' list of America's Richest Self-Made Women. You may remember her from Good Luck Chuck, but Alba invested (and is reaping the benefits of) a $1 billion company.
3. Tyra Banks
Tyra Banks has been a super model for over 20 years. Besides being the mastermind behind America's Next Top Model, Banks is quite the investor. She's had her hands in the two techie startups The Muse and VideoGram. Banks reportedly gave The Muse $1 million in seed money. Dolla dolla bills, y'all.
4. Serena Williams
This tennis star makes the most of her big wins in the business world. The Wall Street Journal reported that Williams was part of a venture capital group that invested $10 million in the startup Mayvenn, a company that supplies and distributes hair extensions and other beauty products. #BossBabe.
5. Gwyneth Paltrow
This woman has her hand in everything health and wellness. Besides founding goop, Paltrow just recently invested in Daily Harvest, a company specializing in meal delivery. Thanks to Gwyneth, I can get smoothies delivered right to my door.
When you think that these women have it all... well, you're right. Take note.
