Jenna Dewan Revealed How She Started Dating Channing Tatum And It's Hilarious

When a Hollywood couple meets on the set of a movie, the regular people of the world tend to feel even more invested in their relationship than just the usual level of stalkerish investment we have in celebrity love stories.

So it's no surprise Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan became one of Hollywood's most beloved couples after meeting on the set of 2006's "Step Up" and going on to get married in 2009.

After several sequels, one daughter and one epic "Lip Sync Battle" dance off, we're just as enthralled with their love story as ever, and, fortunately for us, Jenna Dewan spares no details about their love life.

The 36-year-old actress and dancer stopped by "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" recently to dish on her husband's new Vegas show, their 3-year-old daughter, Everly, and how she and Channing actually became official over a decade ago.

(Side note: This story is sooooo much better than how JLo and A-Rod started dating.)

Apparently, Jenna and Channing met on set and had both gotten out of relationships recently so she wanted to give him the chance to be single if that's what he wanted. She, however, knew she wanted to be in a relationship with him.

She told Ellen,

So, three days go by and he had gone out with all the dancers on 'Step Up' and had this crazy wild tequila night and he said he had the chance to be free and he couldn't stop thinking about me. So he comes down to my hotel room at 2 in the morning and he's banging on the door... and he's in a sombrero, he's naked -- no, sorry, he has underwear -- underwear, sombrero and Ugg boots and he's like, 'Let's do this.'

Jenna said the next morning she went to set because she had an earlier call time than he did, and after an hour or so the crew started to get worried that Channing hadn't shown up.

Jenna continued, "So I had to call a PA over, and I was like, 'He's in my room.'"

When Channing finally did arrive on set, everyone started clapping. She finished,

And that's literally from that point forward, we were like, 'Well, we're together.'

At the premiere of "Magic Mike Live!" in Las Vegas, Jenna and Channing revealed they were both eager to perform together again -- and it will likely happen on the "Magic Mike Live!" stage.

Speaking about the possibility, Jenna said,

If I have my way one day. There's a part in this show that I really want to do, and I'm begging him to do it with me. So, hopefully one day there'll be some audience that will get a nice surprise. Not tonight, though.

I'm already jealous of the audience who gets that nice surprise.
