Julianne Hough And Brooks Laich's Outdoor Wedding Included Puppy Ring Bearers
In an "intimate" outdoor ceremony, Dancing With The Stars judge Julianne Hough tied the knot with NHL player Brooks Laich on Saturday.
According to the 34-year-old hockey star, it was important for the couple's nuptials to take place in an outdoor setting. "Julianne and I are very adventurous and free and wanted the setting to be in nature," he told People.
The 200-plus person event in Idaho began on Thursday, July 6 with a dinner at the Blackwell Hotel. Friday was reserved for some r+r on the lake at Coeur d'Alene Resort and Saturday was the main event.
Of course, what is holy matrimony without man (and woman)'s best friend?
Hough and Laich made sure that their pups, Cavalier King Charles spaniels Lexi and Harley, were part of their parents' big day. The two reportedly had a very important responsibility on the day of the ceremony: stepping in as ring bearers.
With a furry crew this sweet, it's hard not to include them in the big plans.
It's not entirely sure what happened to Hough's third pooch, Romy, but I'm willing to bet that the cute canine had some sort of role in the special day.
Though it's difficult to compete with four-legged friends, there were also a ton of other memorable moments from the wedding.
Hough reportedly wore a custom Marchesa gown while the groom wore Brooks Brothers. The guests were supposedly treated to photo booths, sweets from Sugarfina, and even a fireworks display.
That's all dandy, but let's take another look at the fur squad.
Perhaps what's even better than the wedding itself was Hough's prep for the big day. She didn't worry about a pre-wedding diet and she intended to grab a burger and a beer the night before the wedding. That's certainly a plan we can get behind.
Plus, her bachelorette in Cabo — complete with sun, sand, drinks, and plenty of hashtags — will serve as some serious inspo for your next girls' getaway.
Congrats to the happy couple Julianne and Brooks (and of course, Lexi, Harley, and Romy)!
