Fans Think Katy Perry Is Collaborating With Calvin Harris To Diss Taylor Swift
Calvin Harris announced his fifth studio album, "Funk Wav Bounces Vol.1," yesterday in a video on Instagram, and the video lists all the names of the artists he collaborated with and what we can expect to hear when the album drops on June 30.
One of those names is Katy Perry, and now Taylor Swift fans are losing their minds.
They're all convinced this Katy Perry and Calvin Harris collaboration is a direct attack on Taylor Swift because, you know, Taylor Swift and her fans think everything everyone does is about her.
Taylor Swift's fans are freaking outttttttttt about Katy Perry's collab with Calvin Harris.
Taylor Swift fans are having quite a busy day when it comes to conspiracy theories, as it turns out.
While they're freaking out over the Katy Perry and Calvin Harris song, they're also debating whether or not Harry Styles's new song, "Two Ghosts," is about his relationship with Taylor Swift.
It's probably not, but let's entertain the Swift fans so they don't yell at me on Twitter. They honestly scare me.
In a recent interview with Rolling Stone, Styles all but confirmed he believes Swift's songs "Style" and "Out of the Woods" are about him, and that he's down to write about her. He said,
Certain things don't work out. There's a lot of things that can be right, and it's still wrong. In writing songs about stuff like that, I like tipping a hat to the time together. You're celebrating the fact it was powerful and made you feel something, rather than 'this didn't work out, and that's bad.'
OK, so maybe it's a possibility that "Two Ghosts" is about her. But I won't believe it unless Harry says it himself!!
Back to Katy Perry and Calvin Harris, though.
The list of artists on Harris's new album is seriously impressive. In addition to Katy Perry, the list includes Frank Ocean, Travis Scott, Future, Pharrell Williams, Nicki Minaj, Ariana Grande, John Legend, Big Sean and even Snoop Dogg.
Shit, this album is probably going to be really fucking good.
Katy Perry has addressed the shade war going on between her and Taylor Swift recently.
Earlier this week, she was asked about the feud again in an interview with Entertainment Weekly about her life and her upcoming album (which is rumored to be called "Witness" because her Met Gala outfit spelled out that word like a crown on her head).
EW basically asked her if this new album is a response to "Bad Blood," which is widely rumored to be about her. She said,
Well that's not my question to answer — if it's about me. I think [my new album is] a very empowered record. There is no one thing that's calling out any one person. One thing to note is: You can't mistake kindness for weakness and don't come for me. Anyone. Anyone. Anyone. Anyone. And that's not to any one person and don't quote me that it is, because it's not. It's not about that. Honestly, when women come together and they decide to unite, this world is going to be a better place. Period, end of story. But, let me say this: Everything has a reaction or a consequence so don't forget about that, OK, honey. We got to keep it real, honey.
See, Taylor? Not everything is about you!!!!
But if this new Katy Perry and Calvin Harris song is about you, then I'm totttttalllllyyyyy here for it. I live for this kind of shade.
