People Are Pissed Gigi And Kendall Got Wings At The VS Fashion Show

With all the things to be angry about in the world today, make sure you save some energy for this doozy: Gigi Hadid and Kendall Jenner wearing feathers!

... Yeah, I think it sounds kind of silly, too.

But people are upset the two young models wore wings at the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show on Wednesday because neither is an official Victoria's Secret Angel.

Now, in case you're not familiar with the Victoria's Secret Angel world, this is a very honorable title earned by the models.

And usually, it's only the models who have earned this title that get the coveted Angel wings.

So, some people felt it was unfair Kendall and Gigi got to wear wings — and, in fact, Kendall had them for two different outfits — while other models such as Martha Hunt, who is an Angel, did not.

The feeling that Gigi Hadid and Kendall Jenner have not earned the level of success they've seen in their modeling careers is not new.

Back in June, there was some controversy over whether the two young models deserved to be called "supermodels," when iconic supermodel Stephanie Seymour said they did not.

Seymour said,

They are completely different than we were… Supermodels are sort of the thing of the past. They deserve their own title. [Kendall and Gigi] are beautiful girls, and I support all of them, but they need their own title… Bitches of the moment! That would be a good title for them.

However, other models, such as Tyra Banks, came to Kendall and Gigi's defense, saying she felt both models were working extremely hard in their own way, even if things aren't exactly the same as they were in the '90s.

Look, Kendall may be "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" once a week, but she also works hard AF.

And at the end of the day, it's just feathers, people. I promise it's going to be OK.
