Right off the heels of last week's release of "Praying," Kesha has dropped a new song and music video called "Woman."
AND IT'S A LADY POWER ANTHEM.
LOOK AT THIS DAMN CHORUS:
I'm a motherf*cking woman, baby, alright I don't need a man to be holding me too tight I'm a motherf*cking woman, baby, that's right I'm just having fun with my ladies here tonight I'm a motherf*cker Mmm, yeah
KESHA DID THAT. KESHA DIDDDDDDDDD THAT.
Fans are dead, and so am I.
DEAD, I TELL YOU!
The video starts off with Kesha driving a bomb-a** convertible.
Then she pulls up to a bar called "Oddity" while the song goes, "I do what I want (She does), say what you say. I work real hard every day."
Yeah you do.
And then she says the words that basically sound like a battle cry, "I'M A MOTHERF*CKING WOMAN."
Who can say if I've been changed for the better, but because Kesha is making her comeback, I have been changed for good.
Then she LOOKS THE PATRIARCHY DEAD IN THE FACE AND CHALLENGES IT.
TAKE IT DOWN, KESHA. SMASH IT.
She then changes from her red pantsuit (!!!) to a gold, sparkly pantsuit with a cape (even more !!!) and TELLS THE PATRIARCHY TO F*CK OFF.
"I'm a motherf*cker."
Here are the rest of the lyrics to your new favorite feminist anthem:
Let's drive around town in my Cadillac Girls in the front, boys in the back Loosey as a goosey and we're looking for some fun I'm a motherf*cking woman, baby, alright I don't need a man to be holding me too tight I'm a motherf*cking woman, baby, that's right I'm just having fun with my ladies here tonight I'm a motherf*cker Mmm, yeah Don't buy me a drink, I make my money Don't touch my weave, don't call me "honey" 'Cause I run my sh*t, baby ('Cause I run my sh*t, baby, I run my sh*t) Don't buy me a drink, I make my money Don't touch my weave, don't call me "honey" ('Cause I write this sh*t, baby, I write this sh*t) I write my sh*t I'm a motherf*cking woman, baby, alright I don't need a man to be holding me too tight I'm a motherf*cking woman, baby, that's right I'm just having fun with my ladies here tonight I'm a motherf*cker Mmm, yeah
Kesha said in a tweet about the song on July 13,
I just really f*cking love being a woman and I wanted an anthem to yell about being self-sufficient and strong.
WELL, YOU DID THAT.
WE'RE ALL MOTHERF*CKING WOMEN.
ALRIGHT.
