Khloé Kardashian Opens Up About Dealing With Skin Cancer

Khloé Kardashian had a serious scare with skin cancer at one point in her life, and she's finally ready to open up about it.

On Tuesday, the 32-year-old reality star posted an essay on her app called, "My Skin Cancer Scare." She hopes to raise awareness for the disease.

Khloé wrote in her post,

I've gone through this process a couple of times and I am so grateful that most moles have not been cancerous. However, there was one mole I had on my back that was skin cancer. I had 8 inches of skin removed. It was definitely painful because it was a lot of skin, but most of the time, the removals haven't been that bad.

There are several different kinds of skin cancer, but the most dangerous one is melanoma. Warning signs include changes to the shape or color of existing and new moles.

Don't worry, though. Khloé assured her readers that she was fine, and that she hasn't had any issues "in years."

But she also encouraged everyone to be careful and get check-ups frequently.
