Lady Gaga Refuses To Call 'Lover' Taylor Kinney Her Ex In Heartbreaking Clip

The way Lady Gaga and former fiancé Taylor Kinney ended their relationship continues to make the rest of us sad nobodies long for their reunion.

During a visit to “The Howard Stern Show” on SiriusXM, the “Million Reasons” singer said she's still “very close with Taylor.”

When the host clarified “Taylor” was Gaga's “ex-boyfriend,” she claimed,

I don't like to use labels like that -- 'ex' or 'together.'

Gaga and the “Chicago Fire” star dated for four years before he proposed on Valentine's Day 2015.

In July, she announced via Instagram they'd be “taking a break.”

The Golden Globe winner told Stern,

I hate to sound like a hippie, but I kind of am one… We love each other. That's it.

Gaga's new album, Joanne, dropped Friday and, although its title is dedicated to the artist's aunt (who suffered from Lupus prior to her death at the age of 19), a number of songs address aspects of Gaga's relationship with her long-term lover.

Luckily, the calm that washes over us when we stare into (a picture of) Taylor Kinney's sleepy raincloud eyeballs is totally indicative of his personality. He's just a cool guy who's cool about everything, and that's honestly so cool of him.

Gaga admitted herself she considers it “pretty fucking cool that over the years, no matter what creative transformation [she's] gone through, he's always been very supportive.”

She added,

There's a lot on this record inspired by our relationship, and he's super supportive of me expressing myself artistically… He's been my lover and my friend for a really long time. He's been so supportive of the album, and I support him on his show.

Dang, they're mature.

Stern did ask the “American Horror Story: Roanoke” actress whether she'd be happy for Kinney if he began dating someone new.

She said,

I'm not going to fucking throw a party!
