It's safe to say a majority of the nation (including Hollywood) would rather sip on a cold can of Coca-Cola than Pepsi right now.

Ever since Kendall Jenner's controversial Pepsi ad was released, it received so much negative backlash it needed to be pulled.

The offensive and insensitive ad exploited current protests and mimicked a monumental Black Lives Matter moment (even though Pepsi claims otherwise).

Of course, people are still pissed — including Madonna.

The pop star posted a picture on Instagram on April 5 to express her disapproval of the ad and to let her fans know where she stands.

Madonna didn't directly diss Pepsi in her picture, but her message is obvious.

Instead, she posted two photos of herself carrying an ice-cold can of Coke while wearing a bright-red dress and walking down the road.

She captioned the post with a small medal emoji, signifying the fact she thinks Coca-Cola is number one.

Well done, Madonna. It's a subtle sting to Pepsi, but it's definitely there.

That wasn't the only picture the singer posted in regards to the ad, though.

A few hours before the Coke shout-out, she posted a clip of Jenner's commercial and related the ad to her Pepsi scandal the took place 30 years ago.

She captioned the video,

When you wake up and realize that Shit just really doesn't make sense! #chosen Side note: My Pepsi commercial was pulled 30 years ago because I was kissing a black saint! #ironic

Madonna was referring to her Pepsi commercial in 1989 that featured her hit song "Like A Prayer."

It's been reported the ad received criticism from religious groups, and they pulled it when the Vatican called for a boycott on Pepsi products.

Yikes.

After pulling Jenner's ad, Pepsi released a statement apologizing for its insensitivity.

The statement said,

Pepsi was trying to project a global message of unity, peace and understanding. Clearly we missed the mark, and we apologize. We did not intend to make light of any serious issue. We are removing the content and halting any further rollout. We also apologize for putting Kendall Jenner in this position.

It's going to take a while to bounce back from this one.
