Demi Lovato's new album, Tell Me You Love Me, is finally here! And as expected, the singer's belt has wrecked my poor eardrums. They just weren't ready for Demi. One of the most talked about songs on the album is "Only Forever," a song during which Lovato urges an unnamed person to finally make the move they're both terrified of making. With intense lyrics like "I've been thinking 'bout the future/And I've been thinking 'bout the now/I know we're gonna be together/I just don't know how," it's hard not to come up with conspiracy theories about who the F Lovato is singing to. Who is "Only Forever" about, Demi?! Is it Wilmer Valderrama? IS IT NICK JONAS? Dear God, please let it be Nick Jonas. I ship these two so hard.

Well, it's 100 percent not about Valderrama, as Lovato flat-out said it's not in an interview about the album. Lovato told Noisey that two songs on Tell Me You Love Me"Ruin The Friendship" and "Only Forever" — are about the same person, but they're not about Valderrama, whom she dated for six years and broke up with for good in 2016. Here's where the evidence about Nick Jonas possibly comes in: The opening line of "Ruin The Friendship" is "Put down your cigar and pick me up." Jonas loves cigars (there are entire Tumblr pages dedicated to his love of them that are just pictures of him with cigars), so that's some pretty intense evidence that the song is at least possibly about the youngest member of the Jonas Brothers trio. Lovato didn't reveal who the song is about, but she did say it's about a friend she's been thinking about taking out of the friend zone. She said,

I was frustrated with a certain situation. And I was like, 'You know what, I'm just going to write about it.' And so I did, and sent [the songs] to that person, and that was"—she pauses, choosing her words carefully—"Interesting. Any time you send a song about the person, to the person—it's ballsy. It's like, 'Hey! Here's my feelings for you!' … They knew [about my feelings], but neither of us had acknowledged [them] before. And then it turned out that person had written a song about me, and we exchanged songs. That person was like, 'That's an incredible song.' And I was like, 'Yeah, well. It's like, 'Hel-lo!' They had their reasons. But, yeah.

BUT YEAH. God, this stresses me out.

I need to know if this is about Nick Jonas or not. Lots of fans seem to think so:

Here are the "Only Forever" lyrics so you can do your own sleuthing:

I've been thinking 'bout the future And I've been thinking 'bout the now I know we're gonna be together I just don't know how

You know when we get close Can't deny the tension between us both And I don't wanna pressure you, but I think you need to make a move

I've been waiting (I've been waiting) And I'll keep waiting (I've been waiting) Only forever Only forever, only forever Only forever, only forever

Yeah, I can tell that you're terrified to take a shot this strong Should I wait up for you day and night Just let me know how long

What if I told you it's too late? What if I say that I can't wait? What if I meet somebody else who doesn't leave me on the shelf? I'll give you one more chance, but it only lasts

Only forever Only forever Only forever, only forever Only forever, only forever

I am sweating. This tweet pretty much locked in my conspiracy theory that "Only Forever" is about Nick Jonas. It's SCIENCE, people:

I MEANNNNNN. You can listen to Lovato's sixth studio album, Tell Me You Love Me, on streaming services now!
