Ryan Gosling Taught Jimmy Kimmel How To Dance And He's So Graceful It's Scary
It's no secret Ryan Gosling has the moves.
If moves were currency, Ryan Gosling would be the Warren Buffet of hip swivels. He's been sweating it out on the dance floor since his "Mickey Mouse Club" days.
In his new film, "La La Land," the Gos romantically twirls costar Emma Stone all over Los Angeles and the movie is already garnering Oscar buzz.
Not one to be left out of the fun, "Jimmy Kimmel Live" host Jimmy Kimmel invited Ryan to the show Wednesday to talk sweet, sensual moves.
When Jimmy asked whether Ryan's experience on the "MMC" prepared him for "La La Land," the actor said,
Oddly enough, I thought my background in '90s hip-hop would help. It doesn't translate. It's a soft shoe and… I forget everything… As soon as we did it, I emptied out my brain and had to, like, program it with what else was coming up next… It's gone.
Jimmy, clearly angling for a free dance lesson, pressed the issue further. Ryan admitted,
I mean, I remember, you know, maybe the waltzing… that's pretty easy… but, other than that, I don't remember the tap dancing… I think I know where this is going… Are you asking me to show you how to waltz?
UM, YES. PLEASE DO. PLEASE DO IMMEDIATELY.
"This doesn't feel like dancing..."
"You're gonna go, '1 2 3, 1 2 3, 1 2 3,' just like that."
"Yeah, alright. Let's go."
"Where are you looking? Stop. Stop for a sec. Who are you lookin' at?"
"It's about *this*."
"Am I good?"
*raucous applause*
And in that moment, we all died for the chance to be Jimmy Kimmel. Only he and Emma Stone and, OK, probably Eva Mendes know how it feels to have Ryan Gosling guide him across the dance floor by the small of his back.
Done. Dead. Died of jealousy. Tell my family I never truly loved them because none of them are Ryan Gosling.
