Selena Gomez just released the lyrics for her new single, "Fetish," and they're even more sexual than "Bad Liar."
The singer released the lyrics exclusively on Genius.com and retweeted their tweet debuting an excerpt from the song on July 12, 2017. The full song is set to drop tomorrow, July 13, 2017.
Gomez also posted a 16-second clip of the song on her Twitter.
The shot is just of the lower half of her face singing the words to the first verse of the song.
Now that you're all freaking out, let's go through the lyrics, shall we?
HERE WE GO.
Verse 1 is Gomez singing the clip from the above video:
Take it or leave it Baby take it or leave it But I know you won't leave it 'Cause I know that you need it Look in the mirror When I look in the mirror Baby I see it clearer Why you wanna be nearer
The pre-chorus:
I'm not surprised I sympathize, ah I can't deny Your appetite, ah
Chorus:
You got a fetish for my love I push you out and you come right back Don't see a point in blaming you If I were you, I'd do me too
Verse 2 is followed by the pre-chorus and the chorus:
Reaching your limit Say you're reaching your limit Going over your limit But I know you can't quit it Something about me Got you hooked on my body Take you over and under and twisted up like origami
Then verse 3 is where Gucci Mane comes in:
The way you walk, the way you talk I blame you 'cause it's all your fault Ya playin' hard, don't turn me off Ya acting hard, but I know you soft You my fetish, I'm so with it All these rumors bein' spreaded Might as well go 'head and whip it 'Cause they sayin' we already did it Call on Gucci if you ever need and I'll be South Beach in the drop top gleamin' Order diamonds, Aquafina Just need you in a blue bikini
Then the song closes out with one more chorus.
OK, SO. THIS IS SUPER SEXUAL, RIGHT? Like, I'm not the only one who's seeing this? This is like, really damn hot?
OK, SELENA.
Let's just talk about the chorus right quick.
Gomez sings,
You got a fetish for my love I push you out and you come right back Don't see a point in blaming you If I were you, I'd do me too
"If I were you, I'd do me too." CHECK OUT THAT CONFIDENCE. Damn, girl. These lyrics sound like they're essentially foreplay. You did that.
Let's also point our attention to this one section from Gucci Mane's verse:
All these rumors bein' spreaded Might as well go 'head and whip it 'Cause they sayin' we already did it
I'm just going to throw out the theory that even though it's Gucci Mane saying these lines, the content itself is probably about The Weeknd. It's Gomez's song, after all. And "Bad Liar" was also about The Weeknd for sure. So yeah, it's about her bae.
Whenever celebrities start dating each other, there's always a crap ton of rumors floating around about them. And Selena Gomez and The Weeknd's relationship was definitely gossiped about until they confirmed their romance during Coachella 2017 on Instagram.
So with the lyrics "'Cause they sayin' we already did it," maybe this is Gomez telling us she and The Weeknd kind of flew caution to the wind when the rumors that they were dating and not just hooking up started to arise.
They didn't really try to keep anything a secret, after all. They posted pictures and videos of each other out on dates and even vacations on their Instagram and Snapchat stories frequently, they just never flat-out announced their relationship, forcing us to read between the obviously written lines.
Selena Gomez and The Weeknd be like: "F*ck it."
