HOT TAKE: The Weeknd and Selena Gomez hooking up is super weird.

This week, the internet nearly exploded when pictures leaked of The Weeknd and Selena Gomez straight-up making out.

As is the case when two obnoxiously hot people throw their bodies at each other, you may wanna save these pictures for home viewing so you can "AHHHHHHHH!!!" without your co-workers thinking you're having a stroke.

It's a weird incestuous hookup, though. Not incestuous in that they're related somehow *cough* like when Angelina Jolie got to second base with her brother *cough*, incestuous in that they're both effing around in the same Hollywood gene pool.

Allow me to explain, using this overly complicated family tree that took entirely too much of my workday to figure out.

Let me walk you through this.

For starters, Selena Gomez's BFF is Taylor Swift. Selena and Justin Bieber have been on-again-off-again-on-again-off-again for the past 40 years (or at least it feels like that).

This means Justin and Taylor have some beef.

In the past, Justin collaborated on songs with Drake, who was rumored to be going out with Taylor a few weeks back.

It doesn't stop there.

Justin famously accused Selena of cheating on him with Zayn Malik when he was having his Instagram meltdown. Zayn was in One Direction with Harry Styles, who is not only Taylor's ex but has also worked on music with Drake.

You should also just be aware that Bella Hadid and The Weeknd used to go out.

Gigi Hadid, Bella's sister, is currently dating Zayn, who, once again, was in One Direction with Harry, who was rumored to be dating Gigi's BFF Kendall Jenner.

On the other side of the chart, The Weeknd and Taylor have a weird history as she supposedly tried touching his hair when they were hanging at a party once, because Taylor is a caricature of herself.

This isn't a major part of the chart, but in the past, The Weeknd has collaborated on work with both Justin and Drake.

Just to tie this all together into a larger bubble, The Weeknd has also collaborated with Kanye West, who is essentially Taylor Swift's arch nemesis at this point.

Kanye is married to Kim, who is half sisters with Kendall, who is BFF with Gigi... and so on and so forth.
