Where Is Beyonce At The 2017 Met Gala?

Taking place on the heels of the Wearable Art Gala in Los Angeles over the weekend — an event put together by her mom, Tina, and her step-father, Richard Lawson — it's not all surprising that questions lingered about whether or not Beyoncé would make the 2017 Met Gala on Monday, May 1. So for all those wondering where is Beyonce at the 2017 Met Gala, take a beat, OK? The Queen is 1) busy growing two of the most important humans to ever walk the world, and 2) Beyoncé, so why are you asking questions?, and 3) literally why are you questioning Beyoncé?

Beyoncé was in LA over the weekend to support her mom's organization, Where Art Can Occur (WACO). The WACO Theater Center is a non-profit art and performance center in Los Angeles, and the inaugural Wearable Art Gala turned out Bey, Solange, and Kelly Rowland (as well as others) to honor their mom's incredible achievements. Of course, Beyoncé made headlines at the event for her fierce, flawless look: a $1,395 long-sleeved red silk STELLO "Aurora" gown and coordinating flower crown, according to E! Online.

Following the gala, Bey and husband Jay Z made another round of headlines at an LA Clippers where photos of Jay lovingly holding Beyonce's pregnant stomach highlighted the doting parents to be.

In addition all of the regular headlines the Lemonade creator makes, she and Jay Z made headlines in February when they announced to the world that Beyoncé was pregnant and due later in 2017. In a photoshoot only the Queen Bey could have pulled out, Beyoncé managed to one up herself (how she does it, I'll never understand, but then again some mysteries are never meant to be solved) by announcing not only was she pregnant with one child — she's pregnant with twins.

Though there's been no confirmation or news on when Beyoncé is due (and to be completely honest, she doesn't owe anyone that kind of personal information), it makes sense that as the performer and entertainer gets further along her pregnancy she might not want to travel and attend as many events. It also makes sense if Bey just couldn't make the cross-country trip in time, or if she had other commitments keeping her in LA.

No matter what, Beyonce was missed from the Met Gala, but I think we can all agree she's earned a year to sit out.
