Fans of Bachelorette contestant Dean Unglert are probably in pretty bad spirits today after their boy was sent home after hometown dates, but here's some great news to cheer you up: He's coming back!
The franchise just confirmed Dean will be joining this season of Bachelor in Paradise following his elimination! The fourth season of the show is currently filming in Mexico.
After coming so close to getting that final rose with Rachel Lindsay, Dean was sent packing on Monday night's hometown dates episode of The Bachelorette, much to the shock of the fanbase.
Now, the 26-year-old startup recruiter will join the rest of the cast of the currently filming fourth season of Bachelor in Paradise, which includes his fellow Bachelorette Season 13 alums Diggy Moreland, Iggy Rodriguez, and Jack Stone.
Dean shared a sweet message to Rachel on Instagram when he left the show.
Though Dean's time on The Bachelorette was relatively smooth sailing, now he's joining a production already fraught with drama. Still months away from airing, this season of Bachelor in Paradise has already dominated headlines due to allegations of misconduct and swift cast changes,
After the first day of filming, production had to be halted in order to investigate charges of misconduct that occurred on set, involving a situation between contestants Corinne Olympios and DeMario Jackson.
The allegations of misconduct have since been cleared by both the Warner Bros' investigative team as well as Corinne's private investigative team, but the public blowup has led to both Corinne and DeMario dropping out of this season of BIP. They will return for the reunion special at the end of the season, however.
Dean has always come off as a pretty stable, level-headed guy on The Bachelorette, so maybe his lowkey presence will help straighten things out on this troubled BIP season. OK, probably not. But we still can't wait to watch!
