Holy Fvck, this new era is going to be a rockin’ one. On June 10, Demi Lovato (who uses they/them and she/her pronouns) released an electric music video for their new single, “Skin of My Teeth.” The trippy MV is an absolute banger, and fans can’t get enough of it.

This punk-rock anthem will debut on their upcoming album Holy Fvck. So, dear besties, if you ever catch me levitating after falling under Vecna’s curse, blast “Skin of My Teeth” into my headphones quickly. This is not a drill.

The “Skin of My Teeth” music video appeared to include a nod to “Don’t Forget,” Lovato’s 2008 rock single which also had an unforgettable rain-soaked MV. We stan a referential queen.

These fiery boots were made for walking. Or, in Lovato’s case, slaying a new era with just one single.

Just 20 seconds into the fierce track, “Skin of My Teeth” offers a raw, grungy glimpse into Lovato’s turbulent relationship with addiction.

Those high-voltage guitar riffs and powerful lyrics? Yeah, Lovato definitely has a pop-punk classic on their hands.

With Lovato’s powerhouse vocals, anything they sing or hum instantly transforms into a masterpiece. I don’t make the rules, okay?

Fans never knew they needed Lovato’s rock flare back until now, and it really is so good their pop-punk era is back.

In support of the music video, Lovato also performed the riveting single on The Tonight Show on June 9. Engorged in misty clouds of deep red and yellow, Lovato channeled their inner rockstar. It was such a sight to see.

Mood: Completely levitating to pop-rock heaven right now.
