Traditional gender roles are, unfortunately, at the heart of almost all our favorite Disney movies.

For example, Gaston from "Beauty and the Beast" was the clear choice for Belle's affection because he had the thickest neck and strongest arm in town.

And Hercules wasn't going anywhere until he beefed up a little.

Laci Green, host of "Braless," MTV's YouTube series, took a moment to break down the negative effects of blatant gender stereotyping in Disney films.

While the situation is dire in many of the older animated movies, Green notes it's definitely improving, thanks to films like "Brave," "Tangled" and "Frozen."
