JK Rowling Answers Some Of The World's Biggest 'Harry Potter' Mysteries
by Adam Pliskin
There are a lot of questions "Harry Potter" fans still have years after the books and movies have all been released.
But, luckily for them, JK Rowling is pretty active on Twitter and is even willing to clear up some of these perceived inconsistencies.
Recently, a group of people tweeted at Rowling in an attempt to get some answers from the "Potter" author.
She did not disappoint. The questions were about Horcruxes, Fluffy the three-headed dog and Sirius Black's house.
Here are those questions and answers:
Why the Horcrux inside of Harry was not destroyed when he was bitten by a basilisk:
.@llamaofthelab The Horcrux-receptacle has to be destroyed BEYOND REPAIR, so Harry would need to have DIED. #pleaseneveraskmethatoneagain — J.K. Rowling (@jk_rowling) February 6, 2015
Further clarification on Horcruxes:
.@hanzandz The crack in the stone was irreparable. Only Dumbledore cd have extracted the soul fragment but left the original charm intact. — J.K. Rowling (@jk_rowling) February 6, 2015
What exactly happened to Fluffy:
.@EmyBemy2 He was repatriated to Greece. Dumbledore liked to put Hagrid's more foolish acquisitions back where they belong - not the forest. — J.K. Rowling (@jk_rowling) February 6, 2015
Why the headquarters of the Order of the Phoenix are in a Muggle neighborhood:
.@CharlsEC A Black ancestor coveted the beautiful house, so 'persuaded' the Muggle occupant to leave & put the appropriate spells on it. — J.K. Rowling (@jk_rowling) February 6, 2015
