'Friday Night Lights' The Musical Is In The Works For 2016 Release
Hey, y'all. It's about time to take a trip back home to Dillon, Texas.
The "Friday Night Lights" Musical Twitter account tweeted confirmation of an upcoming "The Unauthorized Friday Night Lights Musical" today, and hearts stopped for a moment.

As the tweet indicates, the musical has been adapted by Jordan Ross and will be directed by Lindsey Rosin, the duo who brought us "The Unauthorized OC Musical." Like its predecessor, "The Unauthorized Friday Night Lights Musical" will be a one-night event, taking the stage in late spring or early summer 2016.
Much like #TheOCMusical before it, The Unauthorized #FNLMusical will feature songs from its five season run! — #FNLMUSICAL (@TheFNLMusical) November 24, 2015
Scott Porter, aka Jason Street, will star as Coach Taylor in the musical adaption of our favorite football series, which leaves us wondering, who will play Jason Street?

Several other characters have been named, including Molly McCook as Tyra Collette.
McCook also starred in "The Unauthorized OC Musical" as Marissa Cooper, originally played by Mischa Barton in "The OC."

This is all fine and dandy, and we cannot wait to see the story of East Dillon versus West Dillon come to life on the Los Angeles stage, but a most important character has not been addressed.
Y'ALL, WHERE IS TIM RIGGINS?
Played by the very fine Taylor Kitsch for all five seasons of "Friday Night Lights," Riggs MUST be present in the musical adaption of the show if creators plan on fans showing up to the party.

We're just as excited for the musical as we are for Friday night, and that's saying a lot.
Clear eyes, full hearts, can't lose.
