Halle Berry Has Filed For Divorce From Her Husband Of Two Years

Halle Berry has filed for divorce from Olivier Martinez after two years of marriage.

Berry cited “irreconcilable differences” as the cause for the split, and a source told TMZ the pair had a “personality difference” that caused a rift in their union.

Last week, an LAX employee sued Martinez for a previous, unprovoked attack with a car seat. The source claimed the lawsuit only made matters worse between the famous spouses.

A second source told the entertainment news site,

They're just very, very different people. He's a very macho guy, and things just didn't jive.

The couple signed a prenup prior to their wedding but share one child, Maceo, 2. Halle is also mother to 7-year-old Nahla Aubry with ex Gabriel Aubry.

Martinez and Berry issued a joint statement, sharing,

It is with a heavy heart that we have come to the decision to divorce. We move forward with love and respect for one another and the shared focus for what is best for our son. We wish each other nothing but happiness in life, and we hope that you respect our, and most importantly our children's privacy, as we go through this difficult period.

Sources insisted Berry is looking to make the divorce as easy and amicable as possible.
