James Franco Will Direct 'Zola Tells All' Movie About Famous Twitter Stripper
During the Comedy Central roast of James Franco, Jonah Hill said the artist and scholar makes one film for us and five films for no one.
Well, "Zola Tells All: The Real Story Behind The Greatest Stripper Saga Ever Tweeted" could finally be the film Franco makes for all of us.
Based on the Twitter saga that captivated the world (and a resulting Rolling Stone article about it), the film adaptation is sure to attract thousands of Zola fans.
Directed by Franco with a script by Neel and Mike Roberts, "Zola Tells All" is sure to be as gloriously weird as "Spring Breakers."
In case you were out of the loop on this Internet phenomenon, stripper Aziah “Zola” Wells took to Twitter to detail a road trip she took to Florida with her friend Jessica, her boyfriend Jarrett and Jessica's pimp, Z. Over the course of 148 tweets, she shared an epic story of adventure, betrayal and murder.
No word yet on when production begins, but we'll be waiting eagerly for updates.
