Julianne Hough is the perfect example of such a scenario. Today, the dancer announced on Instagram she is engaged to her boyfriend, NHL pro Brooks Laich.
Along with the photo of herself in Laich's arms, marveling at her new ice (more hockey puns to come*), Hough wrote,
We are overwhelmed with joy and excitement to share with you our recent engagement! #fiancé #love
Laich, a Washington Capitals player who met Hough through a mutual friend, regrammed his lady's picture and caption.
The two have been dating since 2014 and are now set to meet their goal (*told you so) of walking down the aisle for the very first time.
