Justin Bieber’s performance at the 2022 Grammys was a bit confusing. Not only did the singer deliver a questionably slowed-down version of his hit song “Peaches,” but also the lyrics were weirdly censored. Only some of the explicit lyrics in the song were successfully bleeped.

The chorus to “Peaches” includes the repeated words “badass b*tch,” and a “sh*t.” However, the Grammys censors seemed to miss many of them.

Like, they weren’t consistent in bleeping every single chorus.

Because of all the awkward, censored silence, the whole performance felt so off.

Let’s just say it felt like the censors were... a bit overwhelmed.

Not that Biebs himself took any notice of the bleeping.

The bleeps angered some fans, since it really threw off Bieber’s big performance.

Other viewers couldn’t stop laughing at the awkwardness.

It’s not like we all don’t already know the lyrics to “Peaches,” which dominates on the radio.

While the performance was pretty awkward, at least it gave viewers a laugh in the middle of Grammys night.
