Kelsea Ballerini and Chase Stokes attended the People’s Choice Country Awards together on Sept. 26. The couple walked the red carpet at Nashville’s Grand Ole Opry House.

Although she was nominated for four awards, Ballerini left the night without taking any home. But she did perform her song “Two Things” from her upcoming album Patterns on stage, surrounded by sunflowers.

Describing the track on IG, Ballerini wrote, “the story of learning to break the pattern of fighting with and learning to fight for.” The song lyrics go: “Two things can be true / I’ll love and hate you / I’ll be your best and your worst day / I’ll be your blessin’ and curse, babe.”

Following Ballerini’s show-stopping performance, Stokes (who has been dating the country singer since January 2023) showed support by posting an IG story of Ballerini singing.

He wasn’t just showing support online. Stokes showed up for her IRL, too, and the duo had plenty of sweet PDA on the red carpet.

The couple cuddled up in front of photographers, and a BTS photo posted on Ballerini’s IG is proof they were just as touchy backstage.

Ballerini is set to release her next album Patterns on Oct. 25. “The whole record really does cover all of, truly, the relational patterns that I had to assess in my life,” she told People on the red carpet.

Ballerini also gave Stokes a sweet shoutout: “I’m 31 now, I’m in a beautiful relationship, and when you’re in a good relationship, it really mirrors you, so you have to really assess yourself and then the other person, vice versa. I think there’s a lot of that kind of intricacy within the record.”
