Liam Hemsworth Doesn't Think His Feelings For Miley 'Will Ever Change'

The engagement of Liam Hemsworth and Miley Cyrus is probably the most iconic event to ever happen in the history of the world.

It's one of those things you can die happy knowing you were around to experience it. Liam and Miley were America's sweethearts and honestly the greatest couple to ever exist (after Justin Timberlake and Britney Spears, of course).

I speak on behalf of people everywhere when I say the breakup of Liam and Miley was one of the world's greatest tragedies. Who saw it coming? DID YOU? I sure didn't.

It feels like yesterday I was watching "The Last Song" and crying in my pillow case about how perfect the two were. Maybe it really was yesterday. Whatever.

Anyway, MORE THAN TWO YEARS LATER, Hemsworth opened up to Men's Fitness about his feelings for Miley Cyrus.

When discussing his relationship with Cyrus, Hemsworth said,

You fall in love with who you fall in love with; you can never choose. I guess some people just come with a little more baggage. I mean, look -- we were together five years, so I don't think those feelings will ever change. And that's good because that proves to me that [our relationship] was real. It wasn't just a fling. It really was an important part of my life and always will be. She's a free spirit. I think she'll always surprise people with what she does, but she's not a malicious person in any way. She's a young girl who wants to do what she wants to do.

OMG, my heart just melted. It feels like 2013 all over again, baby. Hemsworth also discussed how it's really difficult for him to currently date.

He said,

I'm constantly traveling, and I don't go out to clubs or anything like that. I have a great small group of friends in my life, but I barely ever meet anyone new. It's tough to have a relationship in this industry, though not to the point where it makes me depressed. I'm constantly working, and I love working. I don't feel like I'm missing out on anything at this point -- I feel like I'm focusing on the right things and prioritizing things in the right way, and I'm a healthy, happy person.

Liam, that was so beautiful. No matter what, Liam and Miley are together in my heart.
