Did you guys know you can now make themed playlists on Netflix the way you do on Spotify?

On Monday, Netflix announced its newest feature called Flixtape, described as "a mixtape, but for Netflix."

Basically it's a way for you to come up with a personalized Netflix queue and share it with friends to get them to watch all the shows you need to talk to them about.

But not everyone has friends who will make cute personalized Flixtape mixtapes for them because some of us are sad! Luckily, that's where I come in to make the Flixtapes for you.

I've created several Flixtapes based on some popular TV shows right now, consisting of both shows and movies available for stream on Netflix.

Some of them fit the theme or genre of the original TV show, others I just feel like you would like based on your taste in current television.

Point is, it's totally subjective. Don't listen to me. I'm just a girl who likes to watch Netflix.

Also, I probably forgot your favorite show, didn't I? Sorry about that.

"Game of Thrones"

HBO

Our lovely news writer Alec MacDonald already gave you guys some recommendations to watch now that "Game of Thrones" is over, but my picks are a little different. You can fight over whose is better in the comments.

On my list, I went for a mix of fantasy/period pieces and complex world-building for all you nerds.

The playlist:

  1. "The Last Kingdom" (TV, one season on Netflix)
  2. "Stardust" (Movie)
  3. "Firefly" (TV, one season)
  4. "Underworld" (Movie)
  5. "Xena: Warrior Princess" (TV, six seasons)
  6. "King Arthur" (Movie)

"Mr. Robot"

USA Network

For this list, I went mostly with the sociopath/thriller/insanity theme. Enjoy!

The playlist:

  1. "Dexter" (TV, eight seasons)
  2. "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo" (Movie)
  3. "The Giver" (Movie)
  4. "How to Get Away with Murder" (TV, two seasons)
  5. "We Need to Talk About Kevin" (Movie)
  6. "V for Vendetta" (Movie)

"Jane the Virgin"

The CW

"Jane the Virgin" fans are bound to appreciate optimistic yet self-aware comedies that still like to indulge in drama and romances, so that's what I went for on this list. Also, ladies, because ladies are awesome.

The playlist:

  1. "Parks and Recreation" (TV, seven seasons)
  2. "The Princess Bride" (Movie)
  3. "Gilmore Girls" (TV, seven seasons)
  4. "Amélie" (Movie)
  5. "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" (TV, seven seasons)
  6. "Maid in Manhattan" (Movie)

"Empire"

FOX

For "Empire," I had to go pure soap opera-levels of drama, with a dash of the stress of the music industry.

The playlist:

  1. "Scandal" (TV, five seasons)
  2. "Revenge" (TV, four seasons)
  3. "How to Get Away with Murder" (TV, two seasons)
  4. "Gloria" (Movie)
  5. "Pretty Little Liars" (TV, six seasons)
  6. "The Vampire Diaries" (TV, six seasons)

"Orange Is the New Black"

Netflix

"Orange Is the New Black" is funny, compelling, heartwarming, disturbing and all about telling stories that don't get told. I tried to capture all of that on this list.

The playlist:

  1. "Weeds" (TV, eight seasons)
  2. "Nurse Jackie" (TV, seven seasons)
  3. "Pariah" (Movie)
  4. "Grey's Anatomy" (TV, 12 seasons)
  5. "Rent" (Movie)
  6. "Parenthood" (TV, six seasons)

"House of Cards"

Netflix

It's not hard to pick out the political dramas and questionably ethical anti-heroes for my "House of Cards" fans out there.

The playlist:

  1. "The West Wing" (TV, seven seasons)
  2. "The Big Short" (Movie)
  3. "Mad Men" (TV, seven seasons)
  4. "Breaking Bad" (TV, five seasons)
  5. Lee Daniels' "The Butler" (Movie)
  6. "Making a Murderer" (TV, one season)

"Brooklyn Nine-Nine"

Fox

"Brooklyn Nine-Nine" does classic sitcom very, very well, but it still manages to surprise you with its humor. This list is a mix of the classic comedies and the groundbreakers.

The playlist:

  1. "New Girl" (TV, four seasons)
  2. "Aziz Ansari: Buried Alive" (Stand-up special)
  3. "Tommy Boy" (Movie)
