'13 Reasons Why' Just Cast 7 New Roles For Season 2: Meet The Newbies

There's going to be a lot of new faces this school year on 13 Reasons Why. The hit teen drama just added seven new actors in its upcoming second season, according to Variety, and we even got to learn a little bit about the new characters. As in its premiere season, the show is leaning towards casting lesser-known actors, so you might not recognize all these names now, but when the new season premieres in 2018, these will be the actors all 13 Reasons Why fans are going to be obsessed with. Anne Winters, Bryce Cass, Chelsea Alden, Allison Miller, Samantha Logan, Kelli O'Hara, and Ben Lawson are all joining the new season of 13 Reasons Why, which is currently in production. Though none of these newbies will be regulars in the upcoming season, they will pop up in the bulk of the new episodes. The new characters being added will be a lawyer, an anti-bullying advocate, a basketball coach, and a handful of new students. Anne Winters

Who she'll be playing: Chloe, the new head cheerleader at the school. And true to the head cheerleader stereotype, Chloe is the popular "it girl" of Liberty High. Where you know her from: Winters has had a number of recurring roles on popular dramas, including The FostersWicked City, and Tyrant.

Bryce Cass

Who he'll be playing: Cyrus, a rebellious teen. Described as cynical and edgy, Cyrus will also apparently become "an unexpected champion of the downtrodden." Where you know him from: This is Cass' first major TV role. His only recurring role before this was actually as one of the kids on Are You Smarter Than A Fifth Grader back in 2008.

Chelsea Alden

Who she'll be playing: Mackenzie, Cyrus' witty sister who isn't afraid to speak her mind. Where you know her from: Alden has popped up in shows like Jane the Virgin and Veep. She recently starred in American Horror Story: Roanoke.

Allison Miller

Who she'll be playing: Sonya, an ambitious young lawyer. Where you know her from: Miller has starred in a bunch of shows over the past years, such as Go OnSelfie, and SyFy's Incorporated. She also starred in the Zac Efron movie 17 Again.

Samantha Logan

Who she'll be playing: Nina, a track star with a secret. Where you know her from: Logan has recurred on The FostersTeen Wolf, and Melissa & Joey.

Kelli O'Hara

Who she'll be playing: Jackie, an advocate for victims of bullying. Where you know her from: The most famous new addition to the series, O'Hara is a Tony-winning Broadway star. On the screen, she starred in Sex & the City 2 and had a recurring role on Masters of Sex.

Ben Lawson

Who he'll be playing: Rick, the basketball coach at Liberty High who is beloved by the students. Where you know him from: Lawson starred in the Ashton Kutcher rom-com No Strings Attached, along with small roles in hit shows like Modern Family and iZombie. He currently stars in the CBS drama Doubt.
