Season 2's about to be lit.
A lot went down in the first season of Sex Lives of College Girls. So before you jump into Season 2 when it drops on HBO Max on Nov. 17, here’s a quick but very necessary recap of what you need to remember.
Things didn’t end well for Kimberly in Season 1’s finale. She admitted to cheating on a test, which got her scholarship revoked. In Season 2, she needs to find some way to afford to stay at Essex College.
After exposing the sexist environment at The Catullan, Bela decided to launch her own humor magazine at the end of Season 1. Her story in Season 2 will be all about getting her female-led mag off the ground.
In Season 1, Whitney’s covert affair with assistant soccer coach Dalton messed everything up. Thankfully, that scandal was brought to light and Whitney seemed to move on in the finale. Season 2 will see her exploring her new relationship with the more age-appropriate Canaan.
Leighton finally worked up the courage to come out to Kimberly in Season 1’s finale, but not before her nerves caused a breakup with Alicia. Hopefully, Leighton will come out publicly in Season 2 and proudly explore her LGBTQ+ lifestyle.
Sad news, Nico fans — you won’t see Essex’s heartthrob at all in Season 2. Gavin Leatherwood confirmed he’s not returning to SLoCG, and honestly, after all the mess Leighton’s bro put Kimberly through, it might be for the best.
It looks like things will finally go Canaan’s way in Season 2. After Whitney left Dalton in the dust, she made out with Canaan, meaning fans will hopefully get to see these two start a relationship together in Season 2.
Sadly, things didn’t end well between Alicia and Leighton. Alicia dumped Leighton for wanting to keep their relationship hidden, but now that Leighton has finally come out to at least one friend, maybe things will change in Season 2.
Things got a little flirty between Bela and her fellow Catullan writer Eric at the end of Season 1. And the trailer for Season 2 seems to suggest the two comedy nerds will get even closer in the new trimester.
