Similar to soaring at the 2021 Emmys, Ted Lasso racked up 20 nominations this year and took home four awards, including a second win for Outstanding Comedy Series.

Kicking off Ted Lasso’s success, actor Brett Goldstein scored his second Outstanding Supporting Actor In A Comedy Series award for playing retired football player (turned charming coach) Roy Kent.

Goldstein’s thrilling win did not go unnoticed by his cast members. As the actor maneuvered towards the stage, co-star Hannah Waddingham happily embraced him. Honestly, Waddingham was everyone’s cheerleader that night.

Waddingham wasn’t Goldstein’s only massive supporter. As the cast swarmed and cheered Goldstein on, co-star Toheeb Jimoh excitedly hugged him while boasting an award-winning smile. How could you not smile seeing this joyous embrace?

Next, it was Jason Sudeikis’ turn, winning his second Outstanding Lead Actor In A Comedy Series award. In his gratuitous speech, he thanked his cast members and shouted-out his improv training at Chicago’s Second City theater.

The third Ted Lasso triumph of the night came by way of director M.J. Delaney. She took home Outstanding Directing for a Comedy Series. Specifically, the British award-winning star won for her direction of the show’s second season episode, “No Weddings and a Funeral.”

This is such a sweet “You Go Glen Co-Co” moment from Mean Girls. As Delaney took the stage to accept her award, Waddingham happily cheered her on. If your co-star is not cheering you on like this, then are you really co-stars?

To cap off the night, Ted Lasso won Outstanding Comedy Series. The show’s cast and crew eagerly swarmed the stage with beaming expressions, including actor Brendan Hunt. The shock on his face is so real.

To end their winning night, Sudeikis coyly referenced the much-anticipated Season 3 of the show, which doesn’t have a premiere date. “We’ll see you for season three,” he said. I can’t wait.
