'This Is Us' Premiered Last Night And The Twist Ending Has Us All Emotional
Even if you haven't watched NBC's latest heart-wrenching show "This Is Us," you've probably at least caught the teasers online or during some commercial breaks.
Is it sad that I have seen the teaser at least 16 times and it has made me cry... 17 times? (One time I just thought about it and got emotional.)
So if you're going to set out and enjoy Mandy Moore's new show, we suggest upping your water intake.
The show follows three stories, all entwined with the fact that the characters are all 36.
Jack (Milo Ventimiglia) whose wife Rebecca (Mandy Moore) is pregnant with triplets; twins Kate (Chrissy Metz), who is upset about her weight, and Kevin (Justin Hartley), who is upset about his career; and Randall (Steling K. Brown) a successful business man who just found his birth father.
Already we are offered a dynamic cast who have the ability to play our emotions like a friggin' fiddle, but the show had one huge plot twist at the end that had Twitter blowing up with emotion and surprise.
Dare I write it down? OKAY, EVERYBODY. SPOILER ALERT.
Through cleverly dressing Rebecca and Jack in not specific era clothes, it turns out they are the parents to all three of the other characters, and their story is set in the past.
After Rebecca loses one of the triplets, they notice Randall in the nursery next to the twins and end up adopting him.
Here's what Twitter had to say about that crazy reveal and feeling all of the feelings...
This is everyone's new obsession. Get ready to hear about it every week at the water cooler.
(Uncontrollable sobbing.)
They swerved on us all.
Seriously, can we talk about THAT TWIST SOME MORE?
You got us good.
"This Is Us" airs Tuesdays at 10/9c pm on NBC.
