After revealing a 200,000 subscriber loss on Tuesday, April 19, Netflix CEO Reed Hastings announced plans to add commercials to the streaming service. The ad-supported subscription would be cheaper, but Twitter still isn’t here for Netflix’s ad plan.

After the announcement, many people threatened to cancel their Netflix subscription if they started seeing ads.

People also pointed out the decision feels off considering Netflix’s history of never including ads.

Subscribers are ready to drop the streaming service ASAP.

Netflix hasn’t revealed what the ad-supported subscription’s price will be, but some people think any price is too high.

Given Netflix’s price increases recently, people aren’t optimistic about the new plan’s affordability.

... especially since Hulu’s prices are considerably lower than Netflix’s.

People are joking that it’s time to bring back video rental stores like Blockbuster.

With ads, Netflix would basically be a regular old TV network with an added price.

The overwhelming opinion seems to be that it might be time to ditch Netflix for good.

It was fun while it lasted, I guess.
